Your home is beautiful and very comfortable. The weather was rainy most of our stay yet we had a great time. Friday we went to RMNP. It was very foggy and began to snow. We turned back and went to Bear Lake. We later learned they closed Trail Ridge Road. We are going back today. We did see many elk and several antelope. The guys went fishing at Sylvan Dale Ranch with Kirk’s Fly Shop. We ate at Hunter’s Chop the last evening. Thanks for the tip!! It was very good. – Sheila, Rod, Keith, Shuren & Jennifer – PA – August 2008

Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin! We really enjoyed the comfort of the cabin. We had a leisurely breakfast most days. We strolled down town Estes several times and enjoyed eating at Bob & Tony’s Pizza and Penelope’s for burgers. We ventured to the RMNP several days to hike. Our favorite was Emerald Lake – breath taking. We drove to Grand Lake one day via Old Fall River Road. On our drive back we saw a herd of elk way atop of Trail Ridge Road. We had a fantastic week and greatly and greatly enjoyed lots of R & R. Jeff, Carol, Cole & Zak – Berryton, KS – August 2008

Thank you for letting our family stay in your home. Your “extra touches” were so welcoming – even the grandchildren noticed. We loved the porch and deck and spent a great deal of time out there. We each grilled a couple of nights. The chipmunk became a frequent visitor and he was affectionately named “Theodore” by Brent, our 3 year old. You’ve made this a home away from home and we loved it. We’ve been coming to Estes Park for over 30 years and now our son and his family are making this a frequent destination also. Thanks again. Dave & Dianne – Summit, MO – August 2008

Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful cabin. We loved it. We also loved all of the wildlife. We especially enjoyed the surprise visit from the bear. We’ll send pictures! Thanks, Sherri, Thad, Blake & Brandt - TX – July 2008

We had so much fun in your cabin. My dad used your fishing pole and caught 3 fish but threw them back. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park and had so much fun at Bear Lake. We didn’t see a bear but all of it was fun. Do you have bats here, because I think we saw some? Lindsay, Kelly, Kendell, Luke, Ashlyn – TX  - July 2008

Thank you for allowing us to use your home. It was a wonderful week. We enjoyed many of the views, hikes, and fishing. Our grandkids had a great break from their hectic schedule. It was nice to sit on the deck and watch the birds and chipmunks. Hoped to finish the puzzle but did not have enough down time. Loved our visit. Thanks, George & Ginny & 3 grandkids. We had an amazing time and we couldn’t stop talking about how great this cabin is. On our first day here, we saw an elk walking through our driveway! We enjoyed sitting on the front deck, reading, talking, eating, or whatever almost as much as we enjoyed the amazing sites in the area. This was probably our most relaxing vacation ever. We also enjoyed all of the sounds like the Thompson River, raccoons, and birds. We even had a chipmunk come visit and a hummingbird. I think we all really loved our vacation!! Thanks, Jason, Amber & Hannah -Council Bluffs, IA - June 2008

Where to begin with such a fantastic place? Not an hour after arriving, we saw our first elk of the weekend. What a way to start! The cabin was perfect and the scenery was gorgeous. We spent plenty of time exploring RMNP and were able to see many elk, marmots, deer, and chipmunks. Deck was a great place to sit and soak in the beauty. I loved watching the hummingbirds and we even had a chipmunk visit during dinner on Sunday lunch. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We had everything we needed. It was perfect!! We will be back for sure. Thank you! – Mary & Jim - Omaha, NE - June 2008

Dear Patricia, Wanted to thank you for letting us rent your cabin.  Our family had a fantastic vacation and one we will talk about for many years.  Nobody wanted to leave!  We saw lots of wildlife (elk, hummingbirds, jays, crows, chipmunk, and etc.) right around the cabin.  We were really fortunate to see two different black bears.  We saw a large black bear walking near the sailboat parked across the highway.  However, our favorite bear sighting was the smaller black bear that visited your cabin.  The girls really enjoyed watching the bear drink water from the hummingbird feeders.  Eventually, the bear knocked the feeders out of the tree and sat on your stone patio and licked everything clean.  We watched it for about 5 - 10 minutes.  Attached are some pictures.  Unfortunately, we had to use our cell phone camera to take the pictures. We had just got back from Rocky Mountain National Park and all the cameras were in the car.  Also, we saw a large elk in front of the cabin and was able to take picture of it with our digital camera (will email later).  We hope to be back again soon and for a longer stay.  Again . . .thanks so much !!!    Your cabin is really nice, well maintained, and organized for first time users.  Additionally, its in a perfect location and the process steps to rent it are easy, safe, and dependable . . . again thanks.   It was just like Kathy & I remembered as kids visiting Colorado with our parents  . . . .Thanks !!!

Hi Patricia: Amy and I had a fabulous time visiting your beautiful cabin. We greatly appreciate your kindness and attention to detail in all aspects of our stay. We will certainly think of you first the next time we are in the area and hope that the cabin will be available. Right now we are thinking of trying to visit next August. By the way, last Saturday at 5:40 AM and again about 10:00 AM a full grown black bear paid a visit to the dumpster in front of the cabin. I am not sure if this is a regular occurrence or not, but we were most pleased to receive a visit. Unfortunately we were too slow to get a picture in both instances. Thanks again and best wishes, Kevin 7/07

We just wanted to say thank you for letting us rent your cabin. We had a wonderful time and none of us wanted to leave. Your cabin is beautiful and just the perfect size. We saw and did many things while we were there. I did do a lot of fishing, usually in the morning. I caught several nice size trout. We were not lucky enough to see a bear in the dumpster like your one renters wrote in the book there. That must have been a real treat. We did see several elk and more hummingbirds than I have ever seen, along with a fox at night. Anyway, thanks again for everything. If we ever get the chance to stay in Estes Park again I will be sure to keep you mind. I will also forward your website to anyone else that I know is looking. Have a wonderful rest of the year and we look forward to making it out to Colorado again soon. Derek and Rachel 7/07

Thank you very much.  We had a FANTASTIC time in High Echo and in Estes Park.  I'm busy working on scrapbooking all the wonderful pictures we got while we were there.  We will definitely keep you and High Echo in mind if/when we are ever able to make it back to Colorado.  Thanks again.

Dear Patricia and Bob, We had a great time and found the cabin to be a delight.  It is beautiful and so cozy, but with all the amenities.  Our Katie was delighted on our last morning we finally got to meet the blue jay that had been taking the peanuts.  It is such a lovely spot.  Thanks again for sharing your home with us.

Sincerely, Jackie 7/06

Your cabin was so relaxing and wonderful and will definitely be our choice for our next visit to Colorado, whenever that may be.  Thank you so much for the experience!
